Our team is currently looking for an experienced Diesel Truck and Trailer Mechanic to keep up our level of commitment to reliability and safety.

In this role, the successful candidate will perform truck and trailer preventative maintenance as well as repair work in accordance with industry standards. Run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals.

*Responsibilities & Duties:*
* Use all types of power and hand tools to repair trucks, trailers, and other equipment.
* Communicate with operators to diagnose problems with vehicles and determine proper repairs. Have a working knowledge of air systems, A/C, electrical, electronics, hydraulics, drive train systems, diesel/gas engines, suspension, brakes, and welding.
* Be an accomplished welder and know how to use an oxy-acetylene torch. At times fabricate replacement parts and do repairs.
* Clean and paint parts as needed.
* Move machinery and test drive trucks.
* Use a computer to look up parts, read and clear machine codes.
* Order parts through parts requisitions or other forms. Stock parts and organize inventory.
* Complete necessary inspection forms and work orders for maintenance completed.
* Know how to work safely.
* Follow Lock-out procedures when working on machines.
* Use shop cranes or jacks to lift trucks safely with use of jack stands and/or blocking.
* Clean up after a job, tools, floor, parts, trash and general house cleaning.

*Qualifications:*
* Truck and trailer maintenance, welding, fabrication skills, hydraulic knowledge, A/C system repair, electrical troubleshooting, schematic reading, computer knowledge, ability to work in all physical positions, communicate well with others, willing to go to training classes as needed.

*Safety:*
* Fully understands team’s fire plan and follows company’s general safety rules and guidelines.

*Tools & Equipment:*
* Hand and power tools will be needed.
* Knowledge of usage of power tools, micrometers, welders, torches, multi-meter, and computer

*Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:*
* This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are dependent on workload.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
