Description
The Campus Minister serves the theological, spiritual, and emotional needs of the university community through a student-centered and ecumenical approach reflecting the values of Midway University and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The Campus Minister will support the overall goals of the Office of Student Affairs by providing intentional interaction and engagement with students through inclusive program offerings catering to a diverse student body of varied viewpoints and beliefs. In addition to developing student ministry experiences, the Campus Minister serves as a campus-designated confidential resource for students seeking spiritual guidance and support through pastoral care.

Basic Responsibilities:
Organize and facilitate ministry and faith-based activities and events, including worship services, Bible studies, and other events in collaboration with the broader programming and engagement goals of the Office of Student Affairs. Provide spiritual guidance and pastoral care to all members of the campus community Represent campus ministry at campus events such as New Student Convocation, Eagle Prep, Preview Days, and other special events.
Essential Functions:
Provide opportunities for the campus to participate in campus ministries through programs and projects including campus worship services and Bible Studies. This includes scheduling, designing and leading events as necessary. Oversee the Ministry Leadership Team, a group of students who assist with planning and facilitating ministry events and activities. Manage all reservations, advertising, and marketing, for campus ministry events.

Qualifications
A master's degree in divinity or related field and one to five years pastoral experience is required. Ordination or affiliation with The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ); experience and training in counseling skills and techniques; and prior experience with college students or youth ministry programs is highly desirable.
