Job SummaryThe Campus Minister serves as a key member of the Office of Student Affairs, providing spiritual guidance and support to the university community. This role requires a student-centered and ecumenical approach, reflecting the values of Midway University and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Key Responsibilities- Ministry and Faith-Based Activities: Organize and facilitate worship services, Bible studies, and other events in collaboration with the broader programming and engagement goals of the Office of Student Affairs.
- Spiritual Guidance and Pastoral Care: Provide confidential support and guidance to students, representing campus ministry at various events and functions.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Oversee the Ministry Leadership Team, a group of students who assist with planning and facilitating ministry events and activities.
- Program Development and Implementation: Design and lead events, including campus worship services and Bible Studies, to engage the campus community.
- Team Management: Manage the Ministry Leadership Team, ensuring effective planning and execution of ministry events.
- Event Coordination: Oversee reservations, advertising, and marketing for campus ministry events.
A master's degree in divinity or a related field is required, along with one to five years of pastoral experience. Ordination or affiliation with The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is highly desirable, as is experience with college students or youth ministry programs.
