 Job Summary: 
The Medical Records Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely processing, retrieval, and management of medical records. This role involves preparing documents for scanning, ensuring high-quality imaging, verifying patient identification, and indexing documents within the electronic document management system. The analyst supports the incomplete records process and provides departmental coverage, including evenings and weekends, as needed. Additional duties may be assigned.

**This is a fully in-office position**
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare documents for scanning and scan records into the electronic document management system.
- Examine scanned pages/images for quality and verify patient identification.
- Index documents accurately within the electronic document management system and appropriately batch documents for scanning and indexing.
- Provide support for the incomplete records process.
- Offer departmental coverage during evenings and weekends.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience:
- Understanding of medical records formats and content for various visit types, filing systems, and medical office procedures.
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially with scanning systems.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Prior experience with scanning systems is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, manage stress, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective, non-judgmental, and empathetic customer interactions.
- Receptive to feedback and adaptable to a changing work environment, including flexible scheduling and department assignments.
- Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
- Capable of examining records to verify patient identification and identifying appropriate forms for inclusion in medical records.
- Proficient with computer functions and has good eye-hand coordination.
