The Production Supervisor is responsible for all metrics of safety, quality, productivity, cost, production activities including order processing, and inventory control and people development. Provides leadership to peers and customers to solve issues & develop programs. Demonstrate your ability to lead a winning team and manage the daily manufacturing operations for lines or shifts to ensure that the manufacturing plan is executed in a manner that meets or exceeds quality and cost objectives.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead a team of 50 production associates
  • Oversees daily production schedule for press, rewind, and finishing departments.
  • Oversees production inventory; orders supplies when necessary.
  • Oversees all production employee training to improve existing skills and learn new skills
  • Recommend and implement measures to improve departmental productivity and efficiencies, product quality, methods and working conditions so that downtime is minimized through the use of teamwork and TMP/continuous improvement principles.
  • Communicate and reinforce plant plans in area of responsibility.
  • Create an environment in which employees can work safely.
  • Ensure Quality System is followed and that products produced meet specifications.
  • Partner with internal plant and external Ecolab contacts (Quality, Logistics, Planning, and regulatory agencies) to proactively avoid quality, environmental and service issues.
  • Provide formal and informal reporting on plant performance and issues.
  • Oversees the maintenance department who establishes a regularly scheduled maintenance program for all pressroom equipment.
  • Documents and records all work performed. Organizes and maintains equipment repair manuals, blueprints, and instruction sheets in file.
  • Provide commit dates to customer orders.
  • Supervises building equipment repairs and maintenance.  Orders parts for repairs keeping necessary spare parts on hand and developing a reference list of parts/service providers.
  • Maintains a high level of quality in the work performed by the departments under his or her supervision, alerts Plant Manager to any persisting quality problems.
  • Facilitates weekly production team meetings.
  • Regularly reviews department KPI’s to identify areas of improvement.
  • Coaching and developing department leads.
  • Review and approve employee timecards.
  • Interview candidates of open production positions.
  • Enforce company policies and procedure.
  • Complete mid-year and yearly reviews for hourly associates.
  • Extract data from SAP and Workday to complete daily measures report. 

Position Details:

  • This position is located in Fort Worth, Texas
  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 5:00 am – 3:30 pm (may need to come in earlier or stay late depending on business needs)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’ degree
  • 7 or more years related experience in manufacturing
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’ degree in business, engineering, or transportation
  • Mathematical ability to perform ratios, percents and volume cycle counts
  • Experienced in leading teams consisting of 50+ hourly associates.
  • Experienced in using lean methodologies to improve existing processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required to manage diverse workforce and interact with employees at all levels
  • Ability to develop and manage your business using daily KPI’s
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • The employee is regularly required to sit, use computer, use hands and fingers to touch, feel and handle; employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.  Employee is frequently subjected to extreme temperatures in warehouse environment.
