The Coder will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, charge entry, review of charges from EHR, and reconciling untracked encounters.

*Responsibilities:*
* Charge entry as directed.
* Review of charges from EHR interface for appropriate coding in a timely manner.
* Selects appropriate codes for visits based on documentation..
* Provide coding updates and training to providers and staff.
* Reconciles untracked encounters.
* Resolution of denied and pending claims.
* Other duties as assigned.

*Requirements:*
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* CPC Certificate required. Must be AAPC or AHIMA certified
* Allscripts PM and EHR knowledge preferred but not required
* Must be able to read, write and speak the English language. A second language of Spanish preferred.
* Willing to cooperate and be flexible when working with patients, co-workers and management to complete a job.
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent in accuracy
* Commitment to the adherence of standard operating procedures and policies of Neighborhood Health Center (NHC) as well as federal, state and local regulations.
* Strong ability to diplomatically and effectively manage interactions with individuals at all levels and job functions, both inside and outside the organization
* Be available to work Monday thru Friday from 8 am to 5pm (schedule discussed with supervisor)

Hourly rate: $20.00- $23.00 per hour ( based on a full-time, 40 hour work week)

Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications and other position related components.
