Additionally, IMECH's proprietary coatings and heat treatment methods are applied to customer-supplied components for other applications in the oil and gas, mining, power generation, and plastics industries.What will you do? Your day to day success is determined by your ability to:
- Follow all safety rules and regulations include wearing required PPE.
- Manufacture a quality coated product by following written and verbal instructions.
- Follow all standard procedures and specifications daily concerning tasks such as handling rejects, recycling materials, and scrap.
- Continue to learn and assist in developing new techniques for new products.
- Accurately measure and record all pertinent data.
- Quality check products using inspection techniques to verify coating thickness, adhesion, and appearance.
- Identify and correct defects by performing adjustments to overcome deviations and document discrepancies in materials and/or process accordingly.
- Communicate to management any quality issues and non-conformances.
- Utilizes various measuring tools to ensure products are conformed to visual and dimensional specifications.
- Monitor inventory of raw materials, tools, and supplies.
- Participate in continuous learning opportunities.
- Maintain all work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned. With Quality in mind, you also bring the following:
- Two years of previous work experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred.
- High School Diploma/GED required; Two Year Technical Degree accreditation preferred.
- Excellent team skills; collaborative, open-minded, adaptable.
- Experience in leading a team an asset.
- Motivation to self-advance and grow within the company.
- Basic mathematic, geometry and mechanical skills are required.
- Basic measurement and print reading skills are required.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Precision and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent manual dexterity and the ability to control application tools precisely.
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem solving.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Passion in delivering accuracy and quality as a priority. Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to be on feet for long durations.
- Activities such as lifting or pushing/pulling.
- Activities where repetitive movement is required.
