Patient Access Representative

Description:
• Candidates MUST be able to work weekends/holidays/evening shifts; registration/customer service experience preferred
• They will be sitting at the front desk in Emergency Department and collecting payments, verifying insurance and collecting information.
• They verify why they are there, collect their personal information, verify insurance, and provide them the customer service they need before seeing their doctor.
• They then have to enter all this information into their system, which is Invision, and they need to make sure there are no mistakes.
• 75% checking individuals into IDX and Invision with Demographics, insurance verification, and other information
• 25% providing general customer service to get people through the line

High school degree
Strong Customer Service and patient experience
1 + years experience with healthcare, understanding terminology and insurance verification
HOURS:
ED Rep:
- Mon - Friday/Weekends/Holidays 3p-11:30p or 11p-7:30a (Preferred flexibility with hours but open to someone on each shift and someone flexing.)
- Hours will be 30-40 hours per week PRN (those who are flexible to more hours have opportunity to gain up to 40)
- Shifts can be broken up in 3 8 hour shifts or 5 5 hour shifts (open to candidate availability)
- Most likely to train during the day between 7-7PM (8 hours) can be flexible
