Management of Program
- Develop a plan of action for the program using the expectations outlined in the awarded proposal and compliant with TRIO regulations. Actively works with school district and community stakeholders to identify, recruit, and enroll qualified participants.
- Engages with the team to provide activities and services to ensure that participants are progressing appropriately and make adjustments based on stakeholder feedback. Surveys participants to evaluate programs and services offered and use the data to provide constant quality improvement.
- Manages the UB program in order to deliver it within scope, within budget, and with high levels of quality. Create deliverables and complete tasks. Design curriculum and activities to meet the needs of the participants.
- Evaluates services provided to determine effectiveness and ensure targets are met. Utilize database and technology to track services and participants. Delivers individual and group services, presentations, and other programming in person and online. Coordinates program logistics, including content, staffing, scheduling, and manages other program details.
Operations Leadership
- Manages and oversees assigned area of responsibility and staff by recruiting and hiring, assigning and delegating tasks, providing direction, resolving work problems, communicating job expectations, training employees, and developing professional growth opportunities.
- Conducts annual employee evaluations, provides ongoing feedback and coaching, and effectively recommends pay increases, promotions, and other personnel actions. Approves staff leave. Administers disciplinary actions upon approval and in collaboration with Human Resources. Interprets, explains, carries out, and enforces the College's policies.
- Facilitate regular staff meetings to ensure all staff have current and accurate information. Manages the daily workflow through assigning activities and tasks to team members, monitor team members performances and activity completion.
Fiscal & Administrative
- Monitors project budget through monthly reconciliations and close work with the Grants Accounting team. Forecasts programming up to a year out to ensure project deliverables are provided within budget.
- Completes and maintains required documentation, including the application process, participant services, database, federal reports, budget information, and other data. Completes project reports. Identifies best practices from peer institutions.
- Manages reporting and reviews projects for completion. Identifies project quality metrics and expected outcomes. Input, verify, and submit data for the annual performance report (APR).
Relationship Management
- Collaborates with target schools to recruit and enroll the required amount of qualified student participants in order to carry out the legislative and regulatory requirements of the grant.
- Establishes a viable retention program for participants, including the development and nurturing of workable linkages between participants/project, Columbus State Community College (CSCC), target schools' faculty/staff, CSCC administration, and community partners.
- Provides direct services to participants through counseling and advisement. Researches and coordinates culturally enriching experiences for participants. Maintains the highest standards of ethical behavior and serves as an exemplary model of professional leadership.

- Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with diverse groups and communities. Partners strategically with Talent Acquisition to ensure the best Diversity, Equity & Inclusion practices are utilized in hiring that results in the hiring and retention of a diverse faculty and staff.
- Helps to ensure the College meets its responsibilities in identifying problem areas and systemic concerns while reporting complaints alleging discrimination. Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education, Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university
- A minimum of two (2) years of related advising, counseling, and/or serving economically or educationally disadvantaged students experience
OR
- A Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of five (5) years of related student support services experience
An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework, and experience may qualify a candidate.
