Valle Verde Retirement Community, is part of the HumanGood organization, the largest non-profit provider of senior housing and services in California and one of the largest in the nation. Our beautiful community is located on 60 pristine acres in Santa Barbara, California.

Under general supervision, the Shuttle Driver transports residents in class B vehicles, Wheel chair van (Class C) or car to appointments, local shopping, concerts, programs, medical appointments trips or wherever assigned always keeping in mind the safety of the residents and the vehicle; Assists residents as needed and deemed by the level of transportation request; Drives the cam tram in a safe manner conscious of residents who need assistance. Maintains vehicles as directed by CHP and Company policy and standards.

The class B driver must be capable of safely operating a 24 passenger shuttle bus in addition to the Class C driver who must be able to safely operate Wheel chair vehicles as well as be able to safely operate a 3-4 passenger car with automatic transmission.

Shifts:

Monday-Friday, 5 P.M.- 10 P.M., as needed

Saturday: 9 A.M.-2 P.M. 

Sunday: 9 A.M.- 12:30 P.M.

Pay: $21-24/hr DOE

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Minimum Requirements:
• Must possess a valid Class B, with minimum 24 passenger endorsement.
• Must have clearance with California Department of Motor Vehicles.
• The driver must possess a current Class B license as required by the Department of Motor Vehicles. A good driving record is necessary. The driver’s record from Sacramento will be secured and evaluated annually.
• The Driver with a class C permit must also possess a current license and clean driving record. The driver’s record from Sacramento will be secured and evaluated annually.
