Unit Description:

Sodexo Live's Airport Lounge Segment has an immediate opporutnity for an Executive Sous Chef at LaGuardia and JFK Airports.  We are looking for a Chef with prior culinary supervisory/leadership skills and hands-on food production experience to join our growing team.  Sodexo will be operating and managing the food and beverage operations within this exclusive, luxury airport lounge.  The lounge offers top-tier amenities and expanded premium food and beverage offerings to its elite guests.  Position reports to the Food and Beverage Director.  

 

The successful candidate will:

  • be responsible for purchasing, menu/recipe compliance, inventory, food production forecasting, hands-on cooking;
  • supervision of large-scale batch cooking;
  • ensure Sodexo culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
