Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Material Movement Specialist to join the team. As a Material Movement Specialist, you will be part of the Logistics Department supporting the Operations Team. The ideal candidate will have excellent teamwork, problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.
What’s the Job?
- Operate Forklift and Clamp Truck: Maintain and operate forklifts and clamp trucks safely, including pre-shift inspections.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory on production lines to ensure proper stocking levels and prevent downtime.
- Quality Control and Communication: Communicate quality control issues, equipment deficiencies, and safety concerns to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Shipping and Receiving: Promptly pick up and stretch wrap finished goods pallets for staging and shipping, and receive incoming shipments.
- Waste Management: Assist in the baling of converting waste and maintain accurate records of parent rolls and waste.
- Experience: Prior lift truck experience preferred.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Teamwork: Ability to work as a member of a team accepting direction from others.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
- Attendance: Consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Competitive Pay: Starting at $17.50/hour.
