Job Summary and Qualifications

*  This is a Full Time Day shift position., Monday - Friday.  Hours are typically 8am-5pm with some flexibility.  At times, there may be some weekend time commitment. * 

As a Regulatory Comp Program Coordinator, you will provide leadership and consultative services to departments and services within the organization in achieving regulatory/accreditation compliance.  You will help coordinate and supervisor accreditation surveys (ie. TJC, CMS, TDH, DHHS, Medicaid, OSHA, and DNV) for the facility.   You will also collaborate with clinicians and other staff in developing and implementing processes to comply with regulatory standards.  No direct patient care functions are provided by this position.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Registered Nurse with current TX license required
  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing required.  Master's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years healthcare experience required
  • Inpatient hospital experience is highly preferred
  • Broad knowledge and familiarity with healthcare-related regulatory and accreditation requirements
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Joint Commission accreditation standards and survey methodology, CMS regulations, other Federal and State regulations related to healthcare management, Leapfrog, IHI initiative and other patient care related organizations
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) or regulatory accreditation certification preferred.
