Job Posting- Maintenance Supervisor 5
Location: 2500 East Grand Boulevard Detroit MI 48211
Duration: 12 months with the possibility of extension or FTE conversion
Monday- Sunday
1st shift 6am-2:30pm
2nd shift: 2pm-10:30pm
3rd shift: 10:00pm-6:30am.
Must be flexible for working any shift and weekends. Could be a rotating shift. Will work weekends every other.
Responsibilities
Candidate will NEED UNION experience. Manufacturing experience is ideal. Experience with Electrical, controls background will translate well for the pain shop at the site. Someone that ran pipe fitter crew will be fine too. Someone that has a balance being in controls and supervisor position is what he is looking.
• Read and react to the manufacturing daily plan in the moment
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• The ability to manage change and navigate ambiguity
• Drive accountability through people and processes which may require difficult conversations in a unionized environment
• Responsible for preventative maintenance and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions
• Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements
• Implements divisional and corporate policies and safety and good housekeeping practices
• Maintain frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work group
• Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment
• Has knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles
