Department: Anesthesiology Main

FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Evenings

Pay: $21.49 - $27.94 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:

  • Monitors and controls blood collection on the surgical field and oversees blood recovery procedures in accordance with established methods, procedures and standards of practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Sets up and operates autologous blood salvaging systems for elective and emergency procedures.
  • Provides support during open heart procedures and intra-aortic balloon pump procedures.
  • Ensures accuracy of clinical documentation and provides support with intra-aortic balloon pump.
  • Provides perfusion laboratory services and required quality controls.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
