Job Title: Licensed NY State Claims Examiner
Location: Fully Remote (NY Licensed Adjuster Required)
Contract Duration: 6-Month, potential to extend and/or convert to permanent
Schedule: Fully remote, Mon-Fri, Normal Business Hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate, evaluate, and settle Travel Insurance claims, resolve complex, severe exposure claims, using high service-oriented file handling
- Pay and process Travel Insurance claims, Verify and analyze data used in settling claims to ensure claims are valid and that settlements are made according to company policies and procedures
- Contact or interview claimants, doctors, medical specialists, or employers to obtain additional information
- Maintain claim files, such as records of settled claims and an inventory of claims requiring detailed analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree + Active New York State Adjuster's License Required (Multiple state licenses encouraged)
- Proficient in analytical, document management, and database query software
- 2 to 4 years of work-related experience, attention to detail, customer service, and general knowledge of state/national laws and regulations, and medical/legal terms
