Our California division, located in Huntington Beach, CA, seeks a CNC Machinist.

Summary

The CNC Machinist is responsible for set ups, adjustments, preventative maintenance and operation of computerized numerically controlled (CNC) machines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate computerized numerically controlled (CNC) machines.
  • Ensures all safety devices are in proper placement before operating any equipment
  • Applies safe work practices in material handling and machine operation
  • Operate CNC mills/lathes and related equipment ensuring all product is correctly machined all the time
  • Execute mill/lathe operations that meet equipment set standards
  • Inspects and assesses the general condition of equipment during the production run
  • Reports problems and makes routine adjustments as required and/or authorized by Supervisor
  • Continually inspects parts for high quality and records applicable information as required
  • Change cutters when tools are dull.
  • Inform Manager of machine and production problems.
  • Attend training activities, as required.
  • Participate in continual improvement teams, as required.
  • Participate in safety and OSHA training.
  • Keep work area clean and tidy at all times.
  • Work in an organized manner with attention to details.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • Graduation from high school or receipt of equivalent degree (GED).
  • Three years of experience working with CNC machines or certification from a trade school.
  • ITAR compliant
