About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Jobot. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of equipment, including CNC vertical mills, CNC lathes, manual mills, and lathes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including programming and machining high-precision parts
  • Complete machining operations and projects from blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions
  • Utilize measuring equipment to confirm tight tolerances
  • Program and machine quick-turn projects and reoccurring production jobs
  • Look critically at part processes to promote quality and efficiency
  • Communicate effectively with engineering and production staff
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in set-up, operation, and programming of CNC lathe and mill machines
  • Experience with machining aluminum, steel, and stainless steel
  • Proficiency with precision measurements tools
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience with HAAS Factory Outlet CNC lathes and mills
  • Experience with MasterCam and older versions of the software
  • Experience with machining bronze, magnesium, lead, and plastics
  • Working knowledge of cutting tools and speeds and feeds
  • Ability to read engineering prints and interpret GD&T
  • Working knowledge and experience developing work holding and fixturing solutions
  • Experience with manual honing, precision grinding, and laser engravers
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work all required shift hours and overtime as needed
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted and perform repetitive movements
  • Exposure to typical shop chemicals and noise levels
