Our client, a leading laboratory services provider, is seeking a Laboratory Specimen Processor to join their team. As a Laboratory Specimen Processor, you will be part of the Laboratory Operations Department supporting the Specimen Processing Team. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work independently and in a group setting, and high-level attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Laboratory Specimen Processor
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Pay Range: $18 per hour (non-negotiable)
Shift: Monday-Friday, 10:00am-6:30pm
What’s the Job?
- Receive and prepare urine specimens for processing
- Enter data from requisition forms and specimen bottles into the lab database
- Remove urine samples from packaging and load into trays for processing
- Accurately document and record information
What’s Needed?
- A high school diploma
- Ability to type 40 words per minute (WPM). Complete a typing test.
- Ability to carry up to 15 lbs for a distance of up to 40 yards
- Experience using a computer and barcode scanner (preferred)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (preferred)
