The purpose of this position is to develop new car vehicle sourcing channels for Hertz RAC and Hertz Car Sales. Ensure the seamless execution for daily activities related to the buying new car vehicles to either sell for a profit or adding to rental fleet.
Starting salary is $80K; commensurate with experience.

What You’ll Do:
Achieve desired cost savings and profitability through:
- Purchasing lower cost-forward new cars for the rental fleet
- Delivering higher gains through reconditioning or relocation vehicles intended for sale
- Delivering net gain targets through purchasing vehicles to sell either wholesale or through Hertz Car Sales
- A critical requirement is to create and maintain relationships internally and externally with multiple decision-makers to increase revenue and/or market share.
- Develop a full relationship tree with key management levels to support growth and retention and facilitate support where required for new initiatives.
- Strong execution of vehicle sourcing plans while leading vehicle buying teams.
- Responsible for internal coordination with Fleet Procurement, all Marketing groups (brand, social, CRM, etc.), Field Sales, Executive Management teams, and other departments (where an interdependency exists) regarding opportunities, challenges, and current market trends affecting the assigned account’s current state of business and performance.
- Ensure that requirements for purchase are fully considered as part of the Hertz planning process for stakeholder success.
- Ensures that assets are secured and free of encumbrances for title and reg.
- Analyze, report out, and recommend/react to business performance metrics with corresponding actions to support desired program performance.
- Manage and execute corresponding administration: reporting, business reviews, budgets, promotions, compensation summaries, customer service needs/reporting and other associated tasks necessary to support the Partnership.
What We’re Looking for:
- Minimum B.S./B.A. degree or equivalent from a four-year college/university, or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record (minimum 5 years) in fleet procurement or fleet management.
- Minimum 5 years of leading with the ability to influence, motivate, and develop a large engaged, and high-performing team.
- Minimum 3 years of vehicle sourcing experience through auctions.
- Demonstrated revenue growth within a sales territory over an extended period and effectively lead in a team environment.
- Ability to work with senior-level contacts and negotiate agreements both internally and externally.
- Ability to work and collaborate as part of a team.
- Excellent business and financial acumen. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
