WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As our Department Assistant & Parts Counterperson, you will be the face and voice of our branch. You will have the first opportunity to give our customers an excellent experience and ensure their needs are met. When you are not assisting customers, you will also perform various duties, including but not limited to data entry, acting as the   cashier for the branch by taking and processing customer payments and making occasional bank deposits, and keeping the reception area clean and well stocked.  You will also you will work with customers in person and on the phone to ensure they get the parts they need for their equipment. Every day you will determine customer needs through the use of literature, computer programs, and parts knowledge, and recommend parts or services to the customer.  You will also ship and receive parts and collaborate with team members at other locations.

To thrive in this role, you must have a winning attitude, a customer service mindset, and enjoy working in a team environment.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain good relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Above-average typing and computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Verifiable parts counter experience or applicable mechanical/service experience.
  • Knowledge of parts inventory.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers by telephone and in person, in an effort to sell company parts and other services.
  • Driver’s license with a good driving record.

 

Compensation: $16-19/hr (Depending on Experience)
