Our client, a Fortune 50 Financial Services Firm is seeking an IT Security Specialist/DevOps Engineer to join their team.  You will be part of the Data Management, Operations Team, supporting Application Distribution and Application Runtime Data Archiving. The ideal candidate will have strong Linux admin skills, web application support experience, and the ability to automate configuration management tools.

Job Title: IT Security Specialist V

Location: Charlotte, NC/ Chandler, AZ/ Chicago, IL *Candidates applying must be local to the area of one of these locations.

Schedule: This is a hybrid position, 3x per week on site in one of the 3 locations.

Type: Contract 12 months+ 

Pay Range: Competitive, based on experience (We can only work W2, No C2C or 3rd parites) 

What's the Job?

  • Responsible for the operations and maintenance of a variety of Data Management applications
  • Serve as a Level 2-3 response team member in a 24x7 support environment
  • Participate in operational support shift rotation, possibly including weekend coverage
  • Design and perform service validation and testing as part of Change Management
  • Coordinate incident resolution with service users and other infrastructure teams

What's Needed?

  • Strong Linux admin skills, 10+ years with Devops Experience within an enterprise financial environment 
  • Someone with experience creating the various ansible playbooks vs deploying
  • Web application support experience with Apache Tomcat, Java, and REST API
  • Experience automating configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Selenium
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to effectively communicate with users, team members, application development teams, other infrastructure support teams, and management
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
