Position Description

The Materials Process Manager will be responsible for materials network optimization, budget forecasting, sourcing, vendor capacity risk assessments, system data integrity, and tracking execution, as well as the liaison between Procurement Contracts and the S&OP process to Materials Management.

Essential Functions:

  • Material analysis within the S&OP process
    • Includes tracking, communicating and evaluation of potential supply impacts of network changes
    • Includes manual adjustments to account for actual performance and delta changes
  • Daily/Weekly Material KPI reporting and execution Tracking (Vendor capacity, Vendor Inventory, Month-over-Month plant inventory (MARs), Forecast Accuracy, Data Integrity, Transfer LE, DIOH, Downtime due to materials)
  • Delivering Raw Material forecast for financial budgeting (AOP, 3+9 and 8+4) for Working Capital, Transfers, Warehousing
  • Materials Management database owner for reports and data lake management for report automation, including use of tools such as Power BI, PowerAutomate, Power Query, Access, Excel
  • Process owner for Downtime due to materials, including weekly reporting and root cause analysis
  • Facilitate supplier scorecard implementation and materials dashboard in Power BI
  • BOM audits for new suppliers and material types
  • Materials Process Owner for tracking/execution of new product launches an/or customer changes, including task completion in ACE workflow and material mitigation analysis
  • SAP data integrity metric reporting and audits, such as Past Dues, Master Data, Leadtime’s, Source List, Safety Stock, etc.
  • Assist Project Management in projects that arise for cost savings and/or sustainability initiatives
  • Extract data from a variety of sources and provide analysis in presentable formats such as reports, charts, and graphs.
  • Generate, interpret, validate, and summarize monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports as needed to support and drive business initiatives
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Lead standardization across material planning processes
  • Back up to the Material Analysts and facilitate cross-training
  • Monitors and supports the following functions:
    • Procurement
    • Finance
    • Master Data
    • Production Planner
    • Materials Planner
    • Commercial
  • This role is also responsible for playing the role as super user (Key User) for Supply Chain Planning, reporting and deployment
  • Additionally, this role supports ad-hoc business analytics / reporting to identify trends and support the S&OP process

Education and Experience:

  • 2 – 4 years working experience in Supply Chain analysis or equivalent
  • BA/BS in Business or Supply Chain preferred
  • Prior experience in food/ beverage manufacturing, sourcing, or supply chain highly desirable.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience preferred

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • 3+ years of excellent SAP experience
  • Power BI (or similar) experience preferred
