Role Overview:

The Quality Systems Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, and execution of our AS9100 Quality Management System, including all requisite programs supporting it, as well as all internal and external audit activities surrounding it.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Quality System, including audits, documentation, system administration of TIPQA (On-Line Quality Documentation System), and facilitation of processes
  • Manage Quality System Audits, which includes external audits (customer and regulatory), internal audits, analyzing and reporting audit results, and coordination of corrective actions
  • Manage Quality System Documentation, which includes tracking documents for timeliness and compliance, coordinating documentation updates and publication, and reporting metrics
  • Facilitate Quality System Processes, which includes development of new processes and procedures (including review and approval of documentation)
  • Lead and facilitate Quality-related training, which includes scheduling, coordinating, and conducting AS9100 awareness courses, in addition to document training for Quality department employees
  • Coordinate activities with DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency), which includes investigations and corrective actions
  • Manage OVP (Operator Verification Program), which includes conducting training classes, scheduling and conducting audits, facilitating corrective action plans, and managing the OVP roster
  • Manage FOD (Foreign Object Debris) processes, which includes coordination of training courses, conducting audits, and coordinating and facilitating corrective actions
  • Negotiate Quality clauses with customers, which includes reviewing proposals and contracts, resolving disputes, and coordinating contract organization
  • Perform compliance investigations, which includes investigating concerns, coordinating corrective/preventative actions, and performing follow-up

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 7 years of experience administering Quality Management systems)
  • Minimum of 3 years of administering Quality Management systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience administering and improving Quality Management systems
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Experience in aerospace and/or electronics manufacturing
  • Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
