Reporting to the Region VP, this San Francisco City Director will lead the SFO station supporting aviation ground operations.  The City Director will manage customer relationships and contracts, foster a culture of safety and top performance, and advance the company's footprint at the location.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Key Responsibilities 

  • Builds effective partnerships with internal departments, outside vendors, contractors, business partners, communities and other business entities and identifies new business opportunities.
  • Ensures appropriate staffing at assigned locations, promotes team building initiatives and performs coaching/mentoring activities to develop and motivate team members.
  • Ensures information is communicated in a clear, comprehensive manner.
  • Sets, measures and manages performance of self and others and leads team members in achieving/exceeding operational and financial objectives and goals.
  • Delegates responsibility and holds others accountable against operational performance criteria, and assists individuals with skills development to become a high performing contributor.
  • Ensures compliance with Company policies and rules and standards of all relevant regulatory agencies. All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES 

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university)
  • Experience: Minimum of five years in an aviation ground operations station or regional leadership position, with specialized leadership training preferred.  Three or more years managing a location with a union presence, including contract negotiations, managing company/labor relationships and grievances/arbitration.
