Printing all drawings for custom and/or standard projects. Scheduling of design projects. Drafting of garden center and shade structure projects and various custom projects as required.

Sending RFI s to customer contact regarding specific design or clarification of drawings.

Specifying the number of hours required for design/drafting for custom projects for bidding purposes.

Verifying all drawings including material requirements, notes, hardware, title block, production drawings, etc.

Working with Project Management and/or production on custom projects that are assigned to you if questions arise.

Generating cut files for cutting room tables on assigned projects. Assist Drafter II with cutting files and any other functions in the cutting room.

Ability to work overtime on occasions to meet deadlines for submittal/production drawings (overtime pay will be applied). Priority of projects is to be given per deadlines and the Project Manager.

Clarifying drawings of assigned projects with the shop floor. Suggesting process/design improvement on projects.

Being a team player. This means reviewing other designer/drafter s projects as needed.

Specifying BOM including hardware and material.

Review all information received on assigned projects for completeness of information and clarity of scope of work.

Report any problems/issues with a project to the supervisor and/or manager promptly. Record in project folder problems/issues with the project (date, summary, and contact person, if applicable).

Requirements:
-1-2 years of Auto CAD experience.
-Drafting Certificate required. College or certificate preferred
-Timeliness, neatness, and detail-oriented required.
-Must be able to type.
-Working knowledge of Auto-CAD 2021 or higher.
-Structural and architectural background in steel and aluminum is a plus
-Ability to work independently
