Job Posting: Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift 
Location: Kearney, NE  
Pay Rate: $25.50/hr  
Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday (Weekends as needed)  

Position Summary: 
We are seeking a skilled **Maintenance Technician** to join our team in Kearney, NE. In this role, you will perform expert-level mechanical, electrical, and systems troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on production equipment. Working with minimal supervision, you will ensure the proper functioning of machinery, diagnose malfunctions, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. This is a full-time, 1st shift position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on various types of production equipment, including presses, furnaces, ovens, weld machines, pumps, fans, motors, and inspection equipment.
- Work with Maintenance Supervisor and shift leads to prioritize and assign work tasks.
- Document completed work and communicate progress and completion with the Maintenance team and Production staff.
- Collaborate with outside contractors on plant projects and repairs.
- Inspect machinery and identify root causes of malfunctions, replacing worn or defective parts as needed.
- Work from complex diagrams, schematics, work orders, and other specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping practices, company policies, and procedures.
- Participate in lean/5S activities and other facility improvement initiatives.
- Operate tools and measuring instruments typical to the trade, including using fall protection and lockout/tagout procedures as required.
- Assist with equipment moves, ensuring safety requirements are met before and during the process.
- Perform tasks in various locations, including confined spaces and at varied heights.

Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-3 years of maintenance experience in a production environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without ongoing company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with complex machinery and systems.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance and diagnostic tools.
- Knowledge of safety procedures in industrial environments.
