Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Imaging Tech Student, you will perform a variety of imaging procedures and will be responsible for patient safety protocols. We are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

In this role:

  • You will assist the Unit Director in planning, implementing and assessing the daily functions of Nursing Care and Services provided in the unit on all shifts.
  • You will perform professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, with latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative.
  • You will be responsible for patient care, comfort and completion of required procedures.
  • You will participate in CQI activities.
  • You will function as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.
  • You will possess knowledge of growth and development; and have an understanding of the range of treatment needed for these patient groups.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Student from an approved school of Radiologic Technology or receiving student training on the job under direct supervision of a certified technologist.
  • Completed the first year of a 2-year Radiologic Technologist program in an AMA approved school program.
  • Must have knowledge and skills in routine diagnostic examinations.
  • Must have knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
