Full Stack Developer | PHP and Firebase

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to troubleshoot and resolve ongoing issues with a mobile application that integrates with back-end systems. The app, which functions as an internal business card system using QR codes for contact sharing, is currently facing issues related to backend functionality, possibly involving Firebase and PHP. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both mobile development (iOS) and back-end web development to diagnose and fix the unresolved issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve issues related to the backend functionality of a mobile application.
  • Investigate and debug issues involving Firebase functions and PHP used for app distribution and backend services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand the app’s architecture and the existing codebase.
  • Ensure the mobile application (iOS) is working seamlessly, especially in conjunction with backend systems.
  • Push fixes through the appropriate channels to ensure stability and functionality of the app.
  • Document any changes and provide guidance on maintaining and improving the app’s performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with expertise in both mobile (iOS) and backend development.
  • Strong understanding of iOS development, proficient with Xcode, and ability to troubleshoot mobile app issues.
  • Solid experience with backend technologies, particularly PHP and Firebase.
  • Familiarity with Firebase functions, cloud messaging, and ad hoc app distribution.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot backend integrations and connections with mobile applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently to diagnose and fix complex technical issues.
  • Experience working with distributed applications and providing detailed documentation for future troubleshooting and development.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with QR code integrations and Apple Wallet functionality.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and developers.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex systems and provide creative solutions to technical problems.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $70 to $75 hourly. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
