Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at the time of the offer.Responsibilities Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.Aid with movement and placement of patients.Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records.Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration:BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Patient centered care is displayed in our daily multidisciplinary rounding and continued process improvements. 36 bed unit.Patients we Serve:Surgical Oncology: Pre and post-operative care for patients with a cancer diagnosis. Nursing care focuses on pain management, monitoring input and output, advancing nutrition, drain and tube management, postoperative ambulation, wound care, and discharge teaching.General Surgery: Pre and post operative care or medical management to prepare for surgery.6EW nurses participate in decision-making, mentoring and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to focus on providing care to a highly acute population of surgical oncology and general surgery patients in a fast paced environment.
