Quality Control Inspector I

Do you have a keen eye for detail? We are looking for you As a Quality Control Inspector I, you'll be using your skills and expertise to ensure that our incoming parts, in-process production, and shipped product fulfill all quality requirements. You'll be responsible for visually inspecting our materials, parts, and products at different stages of production, as well as recording observations and making recommendations for improving processes. You'll inspect for structural flaws, internal defects, or missing welds, and accept, reject, or request rework of defective or malfunctioning units or systems. You'll maintain our quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection.The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. Quality Assurance Inspector I with 1+ years' experience in a Manufacturing Quality environment
1+ years mechanical inspection background with ability to use basic hand measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges etc.)
As required by site, knowledge of and ability to use a wide range of higher precision measuring or Non-Destructive Evaluation equipment.
Self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
Effective teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with MS Office
Preferred:• IPC 610, 620, J-Std-01• Knowledge and ability to understand and interpret technical schematics and drawings• Knowledge and ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T)• Experience with receiving/finished goods inspection• Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES)• Basic understanding of material flow in Operations• Experience drafting work instructions and SOP's• Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS 9100 standards• The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be requiredAt Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) we deliver customer-focused technology and best-of-breed integrations in the aerospace and defense sectors.
