The Lead technician should be familiar with procurement practices, including but not limited to purchase of drugs, policy in regard to borrowing/loaning medication, and charging/crediting patient doses. Must be competent in retail pharmacy, nonsterile compounding, prior authorization, and patient financial assistance operations. The Lead Pharmacy Technician models providing the optimal patient experience for staff technicians.
