REPORTING TO Quality Manager JOB SUMMARYThe Quality Inspector I will perform inspections of incoming materials, parts, and finished products to ensure all products meet quality standards. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Inspect in process and finished product as required by established procedures.
Accurately document the results of inspection and testing results.
Perform careful inspections and enforcements of Quality Standards.
Maintain all controlled document files of the inspections and testing results.
Document and report product or service quality levels.
Communicate with Quality Team Members to solve problems.
Maintain records of measuring devices to ensure compliance to standards of QAP, AS9100 and ISO9001.
Evaluate problems and make recommendations for possible corrective actions.
Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation.
Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work.
Follow up with appropriate Team Members/Management when mistakes are discovered.
SKILLS and ABILITIES
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 management systems.
Working knowledge of measurement instruments.
AS9102 FAI inspection preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written communications.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GED equivalent required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift to 20 pounds.
Vision and depth perception suitable for use of inspection equipment.
