Additive Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for an Additive Manufacturing Technician for our Statesville, NC facility. In this role you will setup, operate, clean, and maintain additive machines to assure efficient operations, prevent contamination and achieve high utilization. At ADDMAN you’ll be part of a skilled and growing team pushing the limits of additive manufacturing.
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. citizen status.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Setup, operate and perform daily as well as preventative maintenance on additive manufacturing machines.
Strictly adheres to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to use precision measuring instruments i.e. calipers, micrometers, gage pins height gages, dial indicators and precision scales.
Changing out equipment to different materials and calibration of equipment
Adhering to the ISO9001 standard and complying with internal quality standards
Proper disposal of hazardous waste
Ability to accurately read and record information (i. e. material manufacture date, serial number, and other criteria) that is critical to the production process.
Handling inventory and keeping up with internal MOQ’s for frequently used materials
Part breakouts as related to MJF build units and adherence to tight scheduling
Vapor smoothing setups and how to operate the equipment as well as fixturing parts for smoothing
Perform housekeeping and cleanup duties upon completion of assigned tasks. Actively participate in housekeeping efforts by maintaining an orderly, clean, and safe work area
Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities to exceed customer expectations
Works independently, strong work ethic, is self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
Ability to work on cross-functional teams to support the core business, ensuring quality products are delivered on time
Computer aptitude (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
Must be a team player and willing to learn new skills and concepts
QUALIFICATIONS:
2-5 of working in a precision CNC machining, additive, or manufacturing environment.
Previous aerospace quality experience
Experience with manufacturing /CNC machining processes
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shops, and other mandatory safety equipment.
For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms (including above shoulder height and below the waist); climb/balance; stoop, kneel, crouch/bend, or crawl; talk or hear; and lift to 35 pounds.
Ability and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol.
Ability to accomplish the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
