Kelly Science is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join a client located in Springhouse, PA.

Pay: $25/hour
Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Employment type: 6+ month contract

Job Duties Include:

Assist in all aspects of experiments to evaluate new technologies for disease control and fruit quality, including, but not limited to:

Media preparation, microbiological culturing, and isolation of fruit-borne fungal pathogens
Preparation of test materials and fungal cultures testing
Application of test materials to fruits and vegetables
Assessments and measurements of product efficacy, including disease and fruit quality measurement.
Accurately recording data into spreadsheets and databases


Adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
Operate a motor vehicle to-and-from to the supermarket to obtain produce needed for testing possible once a week or once every two weeks.

Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology or a scientific related field
Previous experience utilizing aseptic techniques and working within a laboratory environment.
Able to learn quickly, follow protocols, and comfortable asking questions.
Valid Drivers license
