As a Hardware Engineering Technicianin Research & Development, you'll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide. As a Hardware Engineering Technician, a typical day might include the following:
Perform basic electronic hardware tests in accordance with defined engineering procedures or guidelines under the direction of engineers or more experienced technicians.
Build engineering prototypes under the direction of an electrical engineer or experienced technician. Document prototype construction and maintain pertinent engineering records.
Assist engineers in the evaluation of new electronic components.
Assemble test fixtures, load banks, and other components common to product development.
Provide support to engineering staff as needed.
Process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) of modest complexity under the direction of engineers or more experienced technicians.

This job might be for you if:
You have a two-year electronic technology or related associate degree.
You have working knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits.
You are familiar with modern test equipment & programming languages.
You have experience with O.S. and computer equipment.
You have practical knowledge of 3-phase power systems.
You are familiar with PCB router, 3d printer, and/or milling machines.
You have knowledge and experience using CAD software tools.

Pay Range Data:We anticipate filling this position as a Hardware Engineering Technician $24.00 - $34.60 per hour. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
