Foundry Manager

Requirements:
Minimum of 5+ years in Non-ferrous foundry management experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Office programs
Ability to maintain professionalism at all times under stressful situations
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints, without direct supervision
Sound troubleshooting skills and the capacity to fully resolve problems
Strong knowledge of "grating systems" for non-ferrous castings to identify improvement opportunities or potential quality problems
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree
Bilingual in Spanish and English
Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques
Foundry Manager is responsible for:
Day-to-day implementation of polices and procedures to assure an effective, safe, and profitable foundry
Collaborating with internal Safety Representative to ensure the safety program is compliant and maintained according to company and industry safety standards
Collaborating with Maintenance Department to ensure the preventative maintenance program, related to all foundry equipment, is compliant and maintained according to company and equipment manufactures standards to achieve and maintain a 75% or greater OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency)
Collaborating with Human Resources to assure labor resources are available to meet production targets and timelines.
Training and developing a skilled workforce, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within all departments, related to the foundry to achieve and maintain a 75% or greater OLE (Overall Labor Efficiency)
Conducting regular performance evaluations while providing feedback to enhance employee growth and productivity to achieve and maintain an employee performance of 95% or above.
Collaborating with Production Control to ensure a steady and cost-effective supply of raw materials to meet production targets and timelines, while achieving a 45 day or less inventory turn.
Collaborating with Quality and Engineering to ensure inspection procedures are Implemented and monitored to identify and address any defects or issues in the casting process to achieve and maintain a rework and scrap rate of 4% or lower with zero returns from internal and external customers.
Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the foundry operations
Reporting the following Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to management team. weekly:
OEE, Scrap and Rework Rate, Employee Performance, Process Improvements initiatives.
