This ideal candidate would also possess the ability to set-up and run CNC programs. Responsibilities Electron beam welding machinery and welding fundamentals Set-up and operate electron beam welder & CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets and compensation; including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry. Sets-up CNC welder and machines by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets; indicating vices; tramming heads. Capable of fixturing, running pre-defined profiles, and indicating parts. Experience in producing welds to pass industry standard requirements Experience with large metallic structures and manufacturing processes related to welding / machining Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to international standards. Maintains specifications by observing welding, drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Documents actions by completing production and quality work orders and logs. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
