Aquent is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to oversee, contribute to, and execute the social editorial and promotional calendar for our clients sports sector and individual sports originals titles. This role requires a strong understanding of sports, social media trends, and content production tools to drive high engagement before, during, and after live events.
Key Responsibilities:

Editorial and Promotional Calendar: Oversee, contribute to, and execute the social editorial and promotional calendar for @SportsOnPrime and individual sports originals titles, with a focus on properties within the Prime portfolio.
Campaign Planning: Advise social leadership on go-to-market planning for upcoming campaigns, utilizing current platform and editorial trends.
Creative Development: Pitch, develop, and plan breakthrough social creative that drives high engagement before, during, and after live events.
Content Curation: Utilize strong sports editorial judgment to recognize and curate socially relevant moments that connect sports originals titles with live broadcasts and the broader sports landscape. Optimize posts for each platform using content production tools.
Agency Collaboration: Communicate clearly and effectively with agency partners to support day-to-day operations.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Video brand social team and other cross-functional teams to maximize impact for priority broadcasts.
Data-Driven Strategy: Utilize insights and reporting to recommend changes to content and strategic approaches.
Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with external leagues/organizations, athlete/talent teams, and other stakeholders.
CMS Maintenance: Contribute to the maintenance of the team’s content management system (CMS).

Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience in social media management or marketing, particularly within the entertainment or sports fields.
Experience with originals or storytelling projects and brand social media is preferred.
Broad knowledge and a genuine interest in sports are essential.
Bachelor’s degree required.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (2-4 years)
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (2-4 years)
Experience with Grabyo (2-4 years)
Strong background in marketing and social media (2-4 years)

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $36 to $44/hr . Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
