In Office / Dearborn Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Remote working Monday and Friday

What’s a typical day as a Buyer Purchasing? You’ll be:
• Managing the inbound truckload services for parts shipments to our assembly plants
• Managing competitiveness and network optimization through Blue Yonder procurement
• Developing purchasing POV on sourcing actions to improve Transportation network for inbound parts
• Using negotiation and sourcing tools to develop sourcing recommendations and drive waste reduction
• Identifying and developing new truckload carriers
• Leveraging data analytics to support sourcing decisions
• Leading strategic work such as Business Unit Reviews and Commodity Strategy updates
• Managing supplier relationships
• Supporting the transition to Blue Yonder and integrating the network design with carrier contracts
• Collaborating with Ford's Lead Logistics Provide and North American Logistics team
• Maximizing efficiency within the network and seeking synergies between FCSD and NAML networks

• Have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain, Business, Engineering)
• Have a positive, can-do attitude and can work well under pressure
• Can develop and leverage cross-functional networks
• Have the ability to develop and communicate strategic and analytical viewpoints
• Are highly organized, analytical, and a strategic thinker
• Have strong leadership skills
• Possess a strong Excel skillset
