Requisition 31197: Charlotte Electrician Electrician:Electrician duties include wiring electrical power and control systems, laying-out, assembling, wiring, and installing electrical boxes and panels on railroad maintenance machinery. The ideal candidate would be able to do the following: Reading and interpreting electrical prints, testing circuits, and connections, using multimeters, amp clamps, etc. Be proficient in troubleshooting PLC's and 24 VDC control systems. Be able to diagnose, replace and make repairs on equipment and components were needed. Be familiar with repair shop equipment and tools. Have a knowledge of industrial wiring both single and three phase. Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. Be able to work with other craft employees to complete work safely and efficiently. Have at least 3 years of applicable electrical experience in industrial machinery, buildings, or heavy equipment.
An associate degree in electrical, computer systems engineering, or a similar degree is preferred but not required. Journeyman status is preferred but will consider those with less experience to fill student Electrician positions.
