The Role 

As an Operations Analyst, you will spend your first year rotating through each of the teams below within the Operations department.  This will give you the opportunity to learn how each aspect of operations impacts the lifecycle of a trade and supports the trading system. Analysts will be able to develop a well-rounded view of the operational structure within MarketAxess. 

How You'll Help Take Us There 

In Middle office & Settlements you will have hands-on involvement in many day-to-day trade settlement functions. These tasks include confirming and allocating trades, as well as handling any failed trades that are past settlement.  Partnering with management and internal risk/audit groups you will work to improve processes, mitigate risk and automate workflows.  Additionally, you will be able to assist with projects and initiatives that the team is currently working on. 

As a member of the Account Services team, you are responsible for the onboarding of new Clients and Dealers on our system, for both our disclosed trading participants, as well as new entities to the global marketplace that is MarketAxess Open Trading™.  As part of this team, you will ensure the required documentation is complete and properly maintained for each firm enabled on our platform.  You will work closely with the MarketAxess Sales Teams, regarding a variety of needs for our client accounts.  Additionally, this team works closely with our Dealer contacts to establish trading relationships and prepare new clients to trade with them.   

On the Client Services team, you are the firm’s first line of support.  You will assist clients with any questions, requests or issues they may have.  This can range anywhere from helping someone log into the system or navigate the trading platform, to identifying and raising potential future enhancements. On Client Services you will regularly liaise with the sales staff on client queries and work closely with technology to fix any issues that have been identified.    

What We're Looking for   


Must be legally authorized to work in the United States permanently without employment visa sponsorship required now or in the future 
Desire to use your organizational and analytical skills in an operationally focused role 
Strong MSOffice skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
Highly focused, organized and detail oriented 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
Proven ability to take initiative 
Able to deal with ambiguity and changing priorities 
Previous financial services experience in an operational capacity preferred 
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary for a new hire into this position is $70,000 USD base with eligibility for OT. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
