Get to Experience a collaborative environment where teamwork is celebrated with flexibility that enhances balance and an inclusive atmosphere that is welcoming to allGet to know our Purpose and make it yours by bringing innovations to market that improve the world, share a commitment to sustainability that makes our planet better and give back to communities in which we work and live.DuPont has an immediate opening for an experienced CNC Machinist at our Carlsbad, CA site.RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION With general supervision, the Tooling Machining Technician I is responsible for, but not limited to, performing tooling components machining with various equipment, including wire-cut, CNC, EDM, super-drill EDM, grinding, lathe, milling, drill, etc. and meeting company standards for quality and quantity on a rotating basis to fabricate high quality tooling components in a timely manner to ensure total customer satisfaction.Your key responsibilities will be/what you'll do:
Set up and operate a wide range of both CNC and manual machine tools, such as grinders, mills, lathes and hones a diverse range of product involving difficult operations, aerospace tolerances, and complex shapes.
Modify programs in response to problems.
Monitor product quality and troubleshoot to determine causes of operating errors and make decisions to solve any errors.
Monitor and troubleshoot production processes and product quality.
Maintain quality metrics to facilitate positive, proactive operational change.
Machining tooling components according to tooling drawing meeting quality and quantity objectives.
Perform all operations on machines, operating equipment, and production fixtures.
Verify part accuracy by using various measuring equipment and gauges.
Complete necessary paperwork, such as daily record, as needed.
Assist new employees with learning how to operate equipment, reading tooling drawing, and ensuring quality.
Know daily goals and targets to meet.
Read work orders, follows engineering drawings and/or receives verbal instructions regarding duties.
Maintain related equipment according to maintenance requirement.
Organize work area for a more efficient, higher quality and safer working environment.
Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to meet business conditions or changes.
Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.
Attend training as required.
Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONSYour qualifications profile:Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 2 years of machining experience
Willing to work occasional overtime
Experience in machining composites, metals, and aluminum extrusions
Ability to read CNC programs and the ability to set up and operate manual and CNC equipment.
Demonstrate the ability to use precision gages
Knowledge of FANUC controls
Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Physical Requirements:
Must have good or corrected eyesight to ensure quality of work.
Ability to use both hands for repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift 30 lbs on an occasional basis.
