SUMMARY Cross functional team member working in a foundry on a paced, sand mold assembly line. The selected candidate will be offered a pay rate based on prior industrial experience, but not less than $22.24/hour to start. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Setup equipment and tools
Read, understand and follow process information
Operate different machinery at each station on sand mold line
Kit and assemble mold making components
Create sand mold by directing sand from a mixer into pattern boxes
Prepare sand molds by sanding, painting and assembling components
Coordinate the removal of sand mold from the line


Perform housekeeping and cleanup tasks on the assembly line
Being engaged and having the desire to improve the process

Critical Competencies
Ability to read and follow process instructions
Use basic hand tools and lifting devices like a hoist or crane
Ability to learn multiple roles and skills
Basic math skills and basic measurement skills
Ability to work in team environment
Operation of a large material handling fork lift truck
Positive team orientation

Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred
Physical Demand and Work Environment: Work environment includes regular exposure to noise levels at or above 85 decibels, dust particles, and weather changes. Some work stations require use of a respirator. The material handling route is indoor and outdoor. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required to be worn during shift. Work schedule has a standard start time and flexible end times. Physical requirements include lifting up to 70lbs, need to see details at a close range, standing for long periods of time, good hand and finger dexterity, and ability to bend, twist, reach and walk.
