Summary To act as the liaison between Engineering, Operations, and Quality To provide engineering support by troubleshooting manufacturing process and machining issues and implementing timely solutions in order to maintain the continuity of production flow To monitor and debug new methods, equipment and procedures to ensure total system efficiencies Major Duties Provides constant communication between Engineering, Operations, and Quality Supports Operations by providing technical support and engineering data Support Engineering by providing feedback, data and other information needed to process parts Reviews and recommends improvements to manufacturing processes Identifies need for established work procedure and standardized method Documents and communicates work procedure and standardized methods as needed Identifies need for training and communicates need to appropriate manager Assist quality and manufacturing personnel in resolution of process issues and product non-conformances Review print and purchase order requirements to determine manufacturing needs as requested by management Creates designs for manufacturing, fixtures, and gages Other Tasks Performs other tasks as required. Required Education Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Experience 3+ years of relevant work experience in CNC machining / manufacturing (8+ years if no degree in related field) Knowledge and understanding of quality instruments and how to use them Experience with business side of operation (quoting, customer relations, production planning, etc.) Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc. Ability to work in a team environment Ability to securely organize and document data. Ability to communicate with internally / externally written and verbal Preferred additional Education and / or Experience Experience in project management Experience setting up CNC equipment and writing programs Experience in leadership / supervisory position Experience utilizing CAD/CAM software Experience training CNC machining to others Additional Notes ARCH Global Precision is an Equal Opportunity Employee and wholeheartedly supports diversity in the workplace as a basic premise for business success.
