Dixon is looking for a 1st shift CNC Operator to join our team in Chestertown, MD This person will learn to set up and operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) mills and lathes to produce precision metal components and inspect products to drawing specifications. Learn to recognize machining issues and make adjustments as needed. Hours are from 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.Responsibilities:
Learn how to set up and run CNC machines through participation in a training program
Learn about Dixon's products
Be a team player
Willingness to learn new things
Work safely around equipment and co-workers

Competencies:
Mechanical aptitude
Great attitude and attendance
Ability to use hand tools
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to use measuring tools
Ability to use shop mathematics
Ability to stand for 8 hours
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds throughout a shift
