The AutoZone Manager in Training (MIT) role is a transitional position that combines work assignments and training opportunities to prepare candidates for Retail/Commercial Store Management positions.

As a member of the management team, the MIT will be expected to deliver exceptional customer service, drive store execution and performance, and maintain a productive store team through strong leadership and initiative.

The MIT will support the Store Manager in overall store operation, including retail/commercial management, financial management, employee staffing and development, inventory management, and customer service leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing store operations and implementing policies
  • Analyzing and reconciling monthly P&L statements
  • Leading and developing a high-performing store team
  • Ensuring excellent customer service and store execution

To be successful in this role, candidates should have 1-2 years of retail management or supervisory experience, a flexible schedule, and strong analytical and leadership skills.
