WASTEWATER TECHNICIAN**Sign-On Bonus: $2KLOCATIONWakefield, NECOMPANYMichael Foods is a multi-billion-dollar supplier of foodservice, food ingredient and retail offerings that specializes in value-added eggs, refrigerated potatoes, and more recently, plant-based foods that help us meet the dietary and ideological needs of all consumers.JOB SUMMARYIn this position, the ideal candidate will be able to successfully operate and maintain the water treatment plant under the supervision of the operator in charge and is responsible for complying with the state of Nebraska’s rules and regulations governing a grade 3 water treatment facility. As a Water Treatment Operator, you will also be tasked with keeping surrounding MFI buildings repaired and maintained. Some examples of collateral duties include performing concrete, painting, carpentry, floor coatings, block work and pipe insulating.SALARY$26-$31/hr  - Commensurate with experience QUALIFICATIONSHas a history of operating and maintaining water treatment equipment, conducting daily water plant operations, recording maintenance activities, and ensuring the cleanliness of equipment.Demonstrates adaptability in various construction tasks, including block work, concrete work, tile, carpentry, painting, and pipe insulation.Possesses strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of construction equipment.Experience with facility maintenance, including rebuilding and repairing walls, floors, ceilings, doors, etc.Familiar with and upholds safety standards, follows GMPs, maintains sanitary conditions, and reports any concerns affecting food safety, quality, or personnel safety to management.High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.Minimum a Nebr. grade 4 water certification with the ability to obtain a grade 3Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to diversity in our workforce.
