Responsibilities & Expectations: As a CNC Operator/Machinist for IPS you will be responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine. Responsibilities may include:
Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference plans, locations of surfaces, machining parameters, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
Program lathes by entering instructions, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, conditional switches, proving part programs, and calculating requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions

Qualifications and Competencies:
4-5 years of experience operating CNC equipment
CNC programming experience a plus
Be willing and able to work overtime, weekdays , and weekends
Effective communication both orally and in writing
Be able to relate well with co-workers in a professional, knowledgeable, and respectful manner
Ability to work 2nd shift is required
