The Arnold Summer Quality Intern position typically works a regular business schedule of 40 hours per week. Part-time schedules can be accommodated to work around any academic or career path schedules. Overtime or irregular hours are not usually required to work. The time-frame for a summer internship will started in May 2024 through August 2024, with the possibility to extend based on business need and if the intern can accommodate a work schedule that is conducive to his/her school schedule. After completion of the internship, an intern seeking a full-time position will be given the opportunity to apply for any open positions that are available.Quality interns must have strong attention to detail, as well as excellent critical-thinking and project management skills. The selected intern should be able to communicate effectively and use their logical judgments, especially when dealing with adjustments and meeting deadlines. Depending on the intern’s assignment(s) they can work in a range of environments from laboratories, testing or office-based work requirements. Some work may require being out on the factory floor in the Foundry, Heat treat or Grinding production departments. Responsibilities of an Quality Intern can include:
Undertaking any tasks as requested by members of staff, training mentors and management.
Performing data collection and analysis.
Assisting with administrative duties.
Helping to ensure projects are completed on-time.

Anticipated projects:
Digitally scan and archive manufacturing drawings.
Cataloging patterns and identifying obsolete (what?)
Cataloging tooling, fixturing and identifying obsolete (what)?
Lean 5S consolidation of supplies cabinets.

Various training may be provided in:
Safety.
Lean.
Quality.
Manufacturing.
